The Court of appeal today nullified the Election of Senator Nkechi Nworgu. in a three hours ruling the court held among others that Senator Nkechi nworgu unlawfully occupied the senatorial seat of Abia Central people. Senator Nkechi who hails from osisioma, registered and voted at Osisioma cannot reprensent Abia central at the Senate. The court threw PDP off balance when it further held that PDP did not sponsor any candidate as far as Abia Central Senatorial April 2011 Election was concerned. the question now is who takes the seat? ofcourse Emeka Atuma cannot take the seat by virtue of the Electoral Act 2010 since he did not contest the General Election. INEC has no other option than to issue certificate of return to Barr. K.C Ugbaja who scored the second highest votes in April Abia central Senatorial Election.

NBA UMUAHIA ABIA STATE CAPITAL HIT THE STREETS IN PROTEST AGAINST THE REMOVAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY
The people in Abia are seriously suffering as a result of the removal of fuel subsidy.
However the labour leader in Abia defiled the instruction of the national body to stage protest against the removal of the fuel subsidy.
The Nigerian Bar Association broke the silence as they hit the streets of Umuahia protesting the removal of fuel subsidy today.The police in Umuahia exhibited high level professionalism during the NBA protest.
